CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Ky. (WKRN) -- A man wanted for multiple charges -- including offenses related to domestic violence -- was taken into custody following a vehicle and foot pursuit through Christian County Tuesday night.
According to the Christian County Sheriff's Office, deputies went to Lafayette Road around 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 28 to serve an arrest warrant for Timothy Osiborski, 40, of Herndon. That warrant included charges for second-degree strangulation (domestic violence), fourth-degree assault (domestic violence), first-degree unlawful imprisonment, and first-degree wanton endangerment.
When authorities tried to serve the warrant, Osiborski allegedly backed his vehicle through the closed garage door at a high rate of speed, nearly hitting law enforcement. Officials said deputies responded to "the immediate threat" by firing one round toward the suspect's vehicle as he fled the area, during which time he struck a Kentucky State Police cruiser.
The sheriff's office said there was a short pursuit, which ended when Osiborski abandoned his vehicle and ran into a nearby field along Mt. Vernon Church Road, armed with a firearm. However, after deputies -- with some help from K9 Luca -- arrested the 40-year-old without further incident, they determined the weapon was actually a pellet gun.
According to authorities, not only was Osiborski driving a vehicle that had been reported stolen out of Tennessee, but he had a small bag containing a substance believed to be cocaine in his possession.
Law enforcement said Osiborski was brought to the Christian County Jail and charged with the following offenses:
- First-degree fleeing or evading law enforcement (motor vehicle)
- First-degree fleeing or evading law enforcement (on foot)
- First-degree wanton endangerment
- First-degree criminal mischief
- Second-degree criminal mischief
- Resisting arrest
- Receiving stolen property
- Reckless driving
- First-degree possession of a controlled substance (cocaine)
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
- Other traffic violations
No additional details have been released about this incident.
