WARREN COUNTY, Ky. (WKRN) — Detectives with the Bowling Green-Warren County Drug Task Force seized about 70 pounds of various drugs from what authorities called a "stash house" on Sunday.
The task force started investigating drug trafficking activity in the Bowling Green area. On Sunday, detectives established probable cause and obtained a search warrant with authorization from the Warren County Commonwealth's Attorney. The warrant was executed around 9:30 p.m. at a residence in the 700 block of West Main Avenue.
Drug Task Force detectives — with assistance from the Warren County Sheriff's Office, Kentucky State Police and the Bowling Green Police Department — said they seized 36 pounds of "Mexican crystal methamphetamine," 30 pounds of "processed marijuana," two pounds of powder cocaine, 14.6 grams of powder fentanyl and "numerous items of drug paraphernalia consistent with a large-scale narcotics trafficking operation."
Authorities said additional information will be released "when appropriate," and the investigation will be presented to the Warren County Commonwealth's Attorney's Office and the U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Kentucky to determine appropriate jurisdiction going forward.
