NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Human remains were found behind a business on Dickerson Pike over the weekend, officials said.
The Metro Nashville Police Department said officers found the remains in the 3000 block of Dickerson Pike on Sunday, Oct. 12.

Officials stated it "appears the body has been at the location for an extended period of time," adding no foul play is suspected.
The Medical Examiner will reportedly conduct an autopsy to determine a cause of death, while investigators will work to identify the person.
The news come just days after officers found skeletal remains in a plastic bag in a wooded area behind a strip mall in the 800 block of Murfreesboro Pike. According to the MNPD, the Medical Examiner's Office is conducting further analysis in that case as well.
No additional information was immediately released.
