Multiple sidewalks installed in Nolensville neighborhoods

NOLENSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Residents in Nolensville may have noticed improvements in their neighborhoods recently.

According to the Town of Nolensville, the public works department has begun making sidewalk improvements for the current fiscal year.

In late July, the Nolensville Public Works Department installed 35 feet of sidewalks in seven sections along Delaware Drive in the Benington subdivision.

According to the town, the next phase of repairs is scheduled for the Bent Creek neighborhood, with work planned on both Dobson Branch Trail and Sawmill Place. Those upgrades "support the Town's continued commitment to pedestrian safety and well-maintained infrastructure," the town said.

Sidewalks have also been approved for a portion of Sam Donald Court near the center of town. According to a resolution passed at the Nolensville Board of Commissioners meeting on July 3, town leaders expressed a network of pedestrian and bicycle-friendly trails, sidewalks, and greenways.

City documents show the Sam Donald Court sidewalks will eventually be part of a larger network of sidewalks on King Street and Old Clovercroft Road, as well as a streetscape along Nolensville Road near the Nolensville Dog Park.

The resolution authorized the Town Manager to proceed with the procurement of design and technical services for the construction of the new sidewalks and estimate the likely costs for future sidewalk and related improvements.
