NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) has led to the arrest of a 16-year-old for recording child sexual abuse material.
According to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI), the NCMEC notified TBI agents of a video showing a child performing a sexual act on Nov. 7.
The investigation by TBI led to a Humboldt residence, in West Tennessee, where they executed a search warrant. It was determined the 16-year-old recorded video of a younger sibling performing the sexual act, authorities said.
With assistance from the Humboldt Police Department, TBI special agents arrested the 16-year-old and charged them with one count of incest, one count of rape of a child, one count of especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor, one count of aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor and one count of sexual exploitation of a minor.
The teen is currently being held in juvenile detention in Murfreesboro, according to TBI.
