Murfreesboro Police Department put in 'Facebook Jail'

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Murfreesboro Police Department (MPD) has apparently been put in "Facebook Jail," according to a spokesperson.

According to Larry Flowers, the public safety public information officer for Murfreesboro, the department's Facebook page "mysteriously disappeared" on Wednesday.

Since then, MPD has been in contact with the Facebook Support Team to determine the cause and "hopefully mitigate the issue" in order to restore the page to working order, Flowers said.

While MPD works with Meta, Facebook's parent company, on its Facebook page, you are encouraged to follow MPD on Twitter/X @MBoroPoliceDept or visit its website at MurfreesboroTN.Gov/1781/Police for updates on major crime, alerts, or emergencies.
